About me
Hi, I'm Olivia, I am an animation graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2023. I have loved animation and storytelling for as long as I can remember, I was the weird kid who played behind the scenes on repeat after watching a Pixar movie. I love to learn and improve my skills, always aiming for perfection. My goal as an Animator and Story Artist is to bring incredible worlds from imagination to life.

Education
BDes (Hons) Animation
Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, University of Dundee
2019 - 2023
Over my 4 years studying at DJCAD I have learned a lot about the animation industry, from the 12 principles of animation to working on productions as a team. I have gained communication skills working on projects and love to bounce ideas off of like minded people to create something amazing. In the past year, I subitted a "Dingle Sting" to the Dingle Animation Festival 2022 with a group of classmates, contributing to the Storyboarding, Animation, and Editing of the final film. I am currently starting production on my Graduate film "Star Crossing" and I am enthusiastic to continue learning and growing.
Mentorship at Ping Creates
November 2022 – January 2023
I visited the Ping Creates studio once a fortnight to work on my student film and received advice and feedback from the Creative director at the time, Selina Wagner. I learned from Selina and the studio environment the process of working with a client on an animated production from concept to finished product. This placement was valuable as a young animator, the opportunity gave me a greater understanding of what it is like to work in the industry professionally.
Mentorship at Studio Zmei
January 2023 – Present
This mentorship took place remotely with the Head of Animation, Stanislav Tsevtkov, where I recieved advice on my University work and shadowed in animation review meetings which helped me understand the review process in a production company.
